L’association ECMA
a été créée en mars 2004 suite à la
prise de conscience de différents fabricants concernant
la nécessité de réguler leur industrie.
Les membres de l'association ont le souci permanent d’améliorer
la vie de nos compagnons domestiques, de leur apporter un équilibre
et de les intégrer dans la vie sociale quotidienne.
L’association rassemble les principaux fabricants de produits électroniques
d’aide à l’éducation de faible puissance, i.e.
: DOGTRA, MARTIN SYSTEM, NUM’AXES, RADIO SYSTEMS CORPORATION.
L’association va aussi s’élargir pour inclure d’autres
produits électroniques comme les puces magnétiques et GPS
et tout autre produit destiné à la protection des animaux
de compagnie.

26.01.2011 - From the Court of Voghera regarding the use of e-collars.
The Judge Dr. De Socio, Attorney General of the Court of Voghera, found it appropriate to record the case also on the basis of the statement of defence that was submitted
during the investigation. This stated that “A possible abusive use of the bark collar could not be proved neither on the grounds of training the dog nor cruelty as these collars usually have a system that allows you to adjust the level of stimulation that avoid (if used correctly) sufferings and pains to the dog.

30 November 2010 - The Welsh Assembly Government took the decision earlier this year to introduce a new law to ban outright the use of electronic training collars for dogs and cats in Wales. The Electronic Collar Manufacturers Association (ECMA) and PetSafe Ltd applied to have a judicial review of the regulation believing it to be wrong in light of the available scientific information. 16 November 2010 - The ECMA would like to announce that permission was granted to apply for a judicial review of the Welsh electronic collar regulations 2010. However, today the regulations were upheld by the Royal Courts of Justice
Following the introduction of the regulations in March 2010, the Welsh Ministers made it clear that they would monitor any new evidence relating to electronic training collars. The ECMA intends to make them aware of new scientific evidence as it become available.
